Planning to visit Bamburgh Castle with your furry friend? Dogs are more than welcome in our nine acres of grounds, although they’re not able to come inside the Castle building. Northumberland Dog Rescue are our chosen charity of 2024. After a very successful run last year, the charity’s friendly, qualified and fully insured volunteers will be providing a service in Bamburgh Castle’s grounds where they will be able to look after your dog/s whilst you enjoy the Castle interior with the rest of your group!
This service will be on every Sunday and Monday throughout May – September 2024*!
On the days the volunteers aren’t around to provide the dog sitting service at the castle, they offer a full doggy day care (drop off between 9am and 11am and pick up between 2.30pm and 4.30pm) at Patterson’s Cottage Kennels (located just off the A1 at North Charlton) you can contact them via email pattersonskennels@gmail.com for further information and for bookings. All the money from doggy day care goes towards Northumberland Dog Rescue.
Minimum donations:
30 minutes: £5
60 minutes: £10
