Charlotte is a published author currently living in West Yorkshire. She studied at The University of Leicester where she gained a degree in English and a Masters in Country House Studies. After graduating, she worked in the heritage sector for seven years at houses such as Lamport Hall in Northampton, Renishaw Hall in Derbyshire, and Temple Newsam House in Leeds. She has also worked for English Heritage across several sites.
In 2016 she secured a three-book deal with Pen & Sword publishers to create a trilogy of books about women’s experiences within the sphere of the country house. Her narrative non-fiction style seeks to make real history page-turning and accessible for all. Her first book Lady of the House was published in 2018 and Unmarried Women of the Country Estate was published in 2020. She is currently working on her third book about Widows of the Country House.
Charlotte will be hosting a talks about her work and published books, at 1pm and 3pm. There will also be an opportunity to buy her books and have them signed.
