Our resident Anglo Saxon’s Wulfthreath and Saethryth continue to wow visitors with talk and demonstrations on all things Anglo Saxon across Bamburgh Castle.
Saethryth, who is doing all she can to mix with the nobles and change her diet from cabbage soup to roast beef, has been inundated with wedding proposals over the past few months and finally, she has decided to accept and has chosen a suitor to marry in an official Anglo-Saxon marriage ceremony.
So, Save the Date, as you are cordially invited to join Saethryth on her special day! You’ll find her in the Inner Ward preparing for the celebrations in the morning, before heading down to the West Ward for a 1pm ceremony.
