Festive wreath making at Bamburgh Castle (this session is from 10am until Midday)
Our Festive Wreath Making classes are back and will be hosted by Sharon Wright from Wild With Love, local award-winning florist – Wildwithlove.co.uk
Sharon is a born and bred Northumbrian lass and has lived in the Alnwick area for several years now. She has a passion for the natural world (and Christmas!) and this is reflected in her wreath making and floral arrangements.
You will be making living wreaths made on a frame of moss. They are incredibly long-lasting and you can, if you want to, leave your wreath hanging on your door long into the new year (the Royal Family do!)
We will be using a variety of foliage including local ivy (from Bamburgh Castle), holly, cupress and eucalyptus to name just a few. There will be a huge selection of decorative items to choose from to add to your wreath to make it truly individual including pine cones, dried fruits, cinnamon sticks, baubles, ribbons, berries and festive novelties. You can even colour co-ordinate your ribbon to your front door or your other Christmas decor if you like!
The possibilities are endless…..
The session lasts around 2 hours, will take place in the magnificent King’s Hall and includes all materials to create your wreath
