27 November – 23 December
This festive season, the magic of Christmas returns to Bamburgh Castle as Father Christmas welcomes children into his beautifully decorated grotto for a truly unforgettable experience.
Tickets to see Father Christmas are £19.95 per child, and include:
A personal, magical meeting with Father Christmas
A special gift, exclusive to Bamburgh Castle
Please note:
➡ A valid child admission ticket to Bamburgh Castle is also required in addition to the grotto ticket.
➡ All accompanying adults/teens must also have valid castle admission tickets.
➡ ANNUAL PASS HOLDERS: admission is included with your annual pass, so you won’t be charged for entry tickets. Just make sure you’re logged into your online account before adding tickets to your basket. Please note: tickets for the Father Christmas Experience must still be purchased separately as it is a special event and not included with admission.
We kindly ask that you book all required tickets together via the booking link (Father Christmas and castle entry) – the admission tickets are on the page after entering the child’s information.
Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable
Grotto access is only valid with a pre-booked Father Christmas ticket.
All visitors (adults and children) must hold valid Bamburgh Castle admission tickets.
If you’re booking for more than one child, or visiting with friends, please ensure all children are booked into the same time slot (max. 4 children per slot).
Have more than 4 children in your party? Please book an additional slot so Father Christmas has enough time to give each child a special moment – he doesn’t wear a watch, after all!
In rare cases of severe weather or high winds, the castle may need to close for safety. Bamburgh Castle reserves the right to cancel or reschedule grotto visits due to circumstances beyond our control.
🎅 Spaces are limited and Father Christmas is always popular – book early to avoid disappointment!
Our 14 State Rooms will also be beautifully decorated throughout the festive period, in the theme of ‘Treasured Tales’. Entry to the Treasured Tales decorations is included with admission tickets. Find out more HERE
