Visiting Bamburgh Castle with Your Dog? We’ve Got You Covered!
Dogs are warmly welcomed in our stunning nine-acre grounds, though they are not permitted inside the Castle building. To make your visit even more enjoyable, we’re partnering with Northumberland Dog Rescue, to watch your pups on select dates this July.
Dog-Sitting Service in the Castle Grounds
Following last years success, friendly volunteers will care for your dogs whilst you explore the castle with friends or family.

How It Works
Beginning at 10am on the listed dates, you can book your time slot with Northumberland Dog Rescue upon arrival. Meanwhile, you’ll find their team positioned opposite the State Room Entrance, and any staff member can guide you there with ease.
Suggested Donations
30-minute dog-sitting: £5
60-minute dog-sitting: £10
Though donations are suggested – feel free to give more to support the rescues incredible work.
With every donation, supporters actively boost Northumberland Dog Rescue’s mission. As a result, the team rescues, rehabilitates, and ultimately rehomes dogs throughout the region.
