In the run up to Halloween our guides are prepared to shock and spook visitors with some gruesome history and tales of Bamburgh Castle ghosts.

Explore the spooky side of Bamburgh Castle. With thousands of years of history, we have our share of unquiet spirits, terrifying tales and ghostly goings-on. Will you see a flash of a spectral pink dress disappear around the corner ahead of you? Or perhaps feel a tiny invisible hand slip into yours as you make your way down a corridor?

On various dates this October, join us for a Grisly Tale or a Ghostly Tour – if you’re brave enough!

When/Where:

Monday 21st October – Grisly Talks – The Keep – 11am

Tuesday 22nd October – Ghostly Tour – The Chapel – 2pm

Wednesday 23rd October – Grisly Talks – The Keep – 11am

Thursday 24th October – Grisly Talks – The Keep – 11am

Friday 25th October – Ghostly Tour – The Chapel – 2pm

Sunday 27th October – Ghostly Tour – The Chapel – 2pm

Monday 28th October – Grisly Talks – The Keep – 11am

Wednesday 30th October – Grisly Talks – The Keep – 11am

Thursday 31st October – Grisly Talks – The Keep – 11am

Please note, whilst these events are included in castle admission, we recommend coming early as there are capacity limits of 50 places for the Ghostly Tour and entry for the Grisly Talk is on a first come first served basis.

Bamburgh Castle reserve the right to cancel this event in the case of extreme weather conditions or for other reasons out of our control that mean the event cannot go ahead.
