Anglo-Saxon Wulfthryth, once Lady in Waiting to Queen Ethelberga of Kent and skilled in healing, considers herself a little higher up the social ladder than her good friend, Saethryth, who is doing all she can to mix with the nobles and change her diet from cabbage soup to venison.
Join Anglo-Saxon ladies Wulfthryth and Saethryth at Bamburgh Castle (follow signs from our gift shop at the end of your State Room tour) to learn about crafts using wool such as nalbinding and embroidery.
Children can have a go at making a lucet braid, leather stamping or weaving and take their finished item.
