Admission on Saturday 13th June 2026 and Joust event info 20th and 21st June

Due to a private event, the State Rooms will close earlier than usual on Saturday 13 June. Last admission to the State Rooms will be at 2:30pm (instead of 4:15pm). Please ensure you enter before 2:30pm if you wish to visit this area.

The Clocktower Café, Tack Room and Viking Market in the West Ward will remain open as normal until 4:45pm. However, access to the Inner Ward and Battery Terrace will be restricted from 4:30pm onwards.

Please note: online tickets will not be available for this date. Tickets can be purchased on arrival at the admissions office.

20th and 21st June - please note tickets specifically purchased for the Joust event will be admitted to The West Ward for this event. The West Ward will be closed between 12pm and 1pm and only tickets for the Joust will be admitted from 1pm. General admission tickets will be allowed into The West Ward after 3pm once the event has finished.
If you purchase general admission tickets for either of these dates there is no guarantee you will have access to the Joust event

Join Northumberland Dog Rescue at Bamburgh Castle for a glorious Sunday morning stroll along one of Britain’s best Coastlines, all to help raise money for Northumberland dogs in need.

 

Date: Sunday 29th September

Time: Meet/registration from 9:00am

Set off on the beach at 9:30am

Get to Seahouses for 11:30am

 

Meeting at the main gates at Bamburgh Castle, bring yourself and your dog. Meet with other dog owners and lovers as you set off to the beach and walk the approximate 3 miles to Seahouses.

The finish point to The Bamburgh Castle Inn, and waiting for you there will be a well deserved glass of prosecco for each adult that completes the walk, and plenty of water available for our four legged friends

If you needed further incentive to take part, you would be welcome to stay for lunch at the Bamburgh Castle Inn and a 10% discount on food voucher will be given to each individual that presents their booking confirmation at the Inn.

Tickets to take part on the walk are £10.00 per person (children and dogs go free) and are available through the Bamburgh Caste Website, 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Northumberland Dog Rescue.

Please note due to insurance purposes

– Banned breeds dogs can’t attend

– Dogs need to be kept on leads for the duration of the walk

– Dogs must be kept under control using suitable collars with dog ID’s attached
